Cinema Screening: Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark

Prepare to have the fright of your life on Wednesday, October 30th in the cinema at Hotel X Toronto with Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark!

Change is blowing in the wind…but seemingly far removed from the unrest in the cities is the small town of Mill Valley where for generations, the shadow of the Bellows family has loomed large. It is in their mansion on the edge of town that Sarah, a young girl with horrible secrets, turned her tortured life into a series of scary stories, written in a book that has transcended time—stories that have a way of becoming all too real for a group of teenagers who discover Sarah’s terrifying home.

Special guest J. Miles Dale, producer of Scary Stories to tell in the Dark will be in attendance to introduce the film and do a Q&A after the screening. J. Miles Dale is a Canadian producer and director of film and television, best known for producing the critically acclaimed film, The Shape of Water, for which he won the Academy Award for Best Picture at the 90th Academy Awards. He is a regular collaborator of director Guillermo del Toro.
